Link your local folder to an Infa board to enable file sync and remote session tracking.
Connecting a board links the local server to an Infa board. Once connected:
The browser opens directly to your board (infa.ai/b/{boardId})
Local .mdx files can be synced with cloud Papers on that board
Claude sessions started from the server are tracked as runs on the board
The CLI subscribes to queued runs created from the Infa web UI
You don't need a board to get started: without one, infa preview opens the local board at infa.ai/local with your repo's docs, and no account is required. See No account needed.

Prerequisites
Connecting a board needs an Infa account. Sign in before selecting a board:
infa auth # sign in first
infa board # then pick or create a board
No account yet? Sign up free at infa.ai/signup, or use Save to Infa on the local board — it signs you up and connects the CLI to a free cloud board in one step. Every account includes one free cloud board with 3 cloud papers.

Select or create a board
infa board
This fetches your boards from Infa and presents an interactive selector. Pick one of your boards, or create a new board for this repo — its name defaults to the repo folder. If you run infa preview while signed in with no board connected, it asks the same question before opening the board.
The selected boardId is saved to .infa/config.yml:
boardId: b_3A4gbNTb

Change or remove a board
Run infa board again to select a different board, or to create a new one. The new boardId overwrites the previous one.
To remove the board connection entirely, edit .infa/config.yml and delete the boardId line, or disconnect from the web UI at infa.ai/b/{boardId} → Settings → Disconnect.
