At Infa, respecting your privacy is our highest priority. All data is stored locally within your Chrome browser and is not shared externally. We do not use any analytics services. The only information we store is your email and newsletter preferences to keep you updated.

We believe in making powerful tools accessible. The Infa Chrome extension is free as it operates entirely within your browser without requiring server computations. This is our investment in your success. Future upgrades will include a cloud version for enhanced collaboration and AI features.

While we're developing the cloud version for team collaboration, you can currently share your work by exporting your board as a JSON file. Your colleagues can then import this file to their own Infa extension, allowing them to see all the components as you do.

The Infa Chrome extension is designed to interact with your webpage only when activated. It injects a lightweight JavaScript file that enables you to visually select and highlight components. We store only the webpage URL and xPath of selected elements. Any information saved can be viewed in the JSON file when you export your board, ensuring transparency in data usage.

We are actively developing a cloud version of Infa to enhance collaboration features. Following this, our focus will shift towards an audit mode for components, leveraging AI to automate and refine the process. Additionally, we are expanding our scope to include not only component definitions but also higher-level constructs like full-page definitions. This progression is aimed at providing a more comprehensive and automated design system management tool.

Local storage within the Infa Chrome extension is managed by the Google Chrome browser, adhering to the same robust security policies enforced by Google. This ensures that your data remains secure and private, leveraging Google's industry-leading security measures.

When you sign up with Infa, you are automatically subscribed to receive updates on product news, but not more than once every few weeks. This ensures you stay informed about important changes and enhancements without overwhelming communication. For our Marketing and Community initiatives, as well as our Research Program, you will need to opt-in separately if you wish to receive updates and invitations related to those activities. This approach allows you to customize your communication preferences with us according to your interests.
