Checking Your Current Version

You can verify which version of the extension you currently have installed:

  1. Open the Extension: Click on the Infa icon in your Chrome toolbar
  2. Access Profile Settings: Click on your profile within the extension interface
  3. View Version Information: Scroll to the bottom of the profile section to see the installed version number

This helps you confirm that updates have been applied successfully.

Managing Update Frequency

You can control how often you receive update notifications through the extension's built-in settings:

Extension Notification Settings

  1. Open the Extension: Click on the Infa icon in your Chrome toolbar
  2. Access Profile Settings: Click on your profile within the extension interface
  3. Scroll to Bottom: Navigate to the bottom of the profile section
  4. Update Frequency Control: Use the UI controls to set your preferred notification frequency

Update Types and Notification Options

We at Infa release minor updates (bug fixes and small improvements) almost daily, and major updates (new features and significant enhancements) weekly or monthly. You can choose to receive notifications for major updates only, or for all updates including minor changes.

Important Note

We at Infa cannot control Chrome's automatic extension update process. Chrome updates extensions automatically in the background. However, we provide notification controls within our extension to help you manage when you're informed about new versions and their features.

The notification settings only affect when you see update alerts within the extension interface - they don't control Chrome's actual update mechanism.

Troubleshooting Updates

If you encounter issues during the update process, restart Chrome by closing all Chrome windows and restarting the browser.

Next Steps

After updating your extension, check out the updates page to see what's new.

Keep your Infa Chrome Extension updated to make the most of your design system analysis workflow.
